Comparison
Product Genius vs. Rebuy
Rebuy’s toolkit centers on the cart, checkout and post-purchase, with IF/THEN rules your team configures. Product Genius starts where shoppers land, on the product page, and learns each one as they browse.

Where Product Genius wins
Decide in the moment, not in advance.
Rebuy describes its rules engine as a simple “IF/THEN” structure: your team decides in advance what each shopper should see. Product Genius decides in the moment. Built on a Large Interaction Model, or LIM, it learns from each shopper’s scrolls, pauses and clicks and adapts the experience as they browse.
Every rule is one your team has to write
Rebuy describes its rules engine as a simple “IF/THEN” structure. Your team sets the conditions, and Rebuy’s AI can fill in the products. Its latest releases let one merchandising rule combine up to ten conditions. The logic gets richer, and someone on your team still has to build and maintain it.
Tell it what matters. It writes the rules.
Product Genius learns its merchandising rules on its own and shows each one in plain English, with how often it applies and the revenue it drives. When you want to steer, hand it a promo calendar or event schedule, however messy, and it works that into what each shopper sees. At Émolo, it needed no manual rule configuration at all.
Scroll is a trigger, not a signal
Rebuy’s recommendations draw on real-time shopper behavior, purchase history and product relationships. Scrolling shows up as a popup trigger: your team picks a scroll depth, and the popup fires when a shopper reaches it. Rebuy doesn’t describe using how a shopper scrolls, where they pause or what they come back to in deciding what to show them next.
Every scroll and pause is a signal
Product Genius reads how each shopper moves: scroll speed, where they hesitate, what they scroll back to. Two shoppers who land on the same product get two different journeys. At Émolo, it noticed ring shoppers stalling over sizing and started showing them the brand’s sizing video, without anyone writing a rule.
Widgets on the product page, not a journey
Rebuy’s products center on the cart, checkout, post-purchase, search and collections. On the product page, it adds widgets: recommendation blocks and bundle offers. More shoppers now land straight on a product page, and a block of recommendations is a small window onto everything you sell.
An endless, personalized scroll
Product Genius turns the product page into new selling space: an endless, personalized scroll of products, reviews, videos and brand stories that adapts as each shopper browses.
